Ok, well, then how many people use their phones to take pictures and then upload them immediately to Facebook or twitter? Have any of you thought that maybe by uploading these pictures your endangering yourself and loved ones? Geo tagging is when the GPS chip installed into the modern cameras, automatically notes the time and location the picture was taken at by connecting to satellites, the location noted with this method is usually accurate, with latitude and longitude coordinates. However the GPS can note the location according to the nearest phone tower, this information will not show the EXACT location of where the picture was taken but an approximate idea.

Find out the location you took the picture and click on that location. A bar while pop up and you need to click on the ‘complete’ button. If you find that there’s a little arrow at the bottom of the photo, which means it’s geo-tagged. Well, guys we’ve told them what geo-tagging is and how an image can be geo tagged. Now it’s our turn to tell them about our experience with geo tagging.  Oh, yeah that... well, it was just a few months ago, and let me tell you, that was one of the most traumatizing experiences yet.

How is it GoIn???

Well... I'll be honest, we are falling DRAMATICALLY off scedual. I don't know what it is, it could be the effect of all the other half yearly exams and assignment which we all have to keep up with. I am very stressed wondering if we'll ever get this done in time.

OK, the video was originaly due on week 9 friday, however as the WHOLE class is falling behind, we have gotten an extension up to Week 10 wednusday.

So we had about 5 nights to get our video filmed, audio recored, music converted, blog and story board completed.

So far I HAVE Completed the Script, Jessica HAS completed the music, Nevetha HAS finished the gantt Chart and Mehre has started the story board, so i'll get the video done and give it to Nevetha and she'll finish the Storyboard as Meher does the bibliography...

The speech is about 6 minutes, so I am pretty sure that we'll be able make a resonably good informative video.

We have no choice but to get the Narration recorded on Friday's lesson; We used my phone, a 'samsung jet' to record all the narration. Which we had to RUSH so excuse us for any mistakes or stumbeling heard on the video. However I do believe that the audio isn't soo bad regardless of the small mistakes and different volume levels(which i can try to fix whilst editing).

We also HAVE to finish filming on Monday's lunch time in the ItT rooms Open to us. We again used my phone (Samsung Jet) to video and take photo's, with it's 5 megapixel camera. As we found it hard to keep the camera still the video is a little shacky as the audio proved to be good quality :)

Quality of image taker, excuse the way the image is positioned.

So once the adio and video is complete it's my job to take it home and make it into an Informational Video.

I used my cord which connects my phone to the computer to get the videos, pictures and vioce recordings of it, because my phone acts like a mass storage (USB) once the phone was connected I was able to click on mass storage and get everything I want off it like using a USB.

When I heard the voice recordings on Windows XP it was all good , BUT the voice recordings was saved as a '.amr' file. This problem prevented me from being able to open the voice recordings on  Windows 7.

So I went and converted my voice recordings with my dads help on Windows XP. This time the recordings did work, however they were nearly 10x more larger files as it was converted to a '.wav' file. This didn't prove to become a problem for me as our maximum file size for the video was 100MB, and I was certain I could keep it within those limits.

The video's didn't have any problem, I was able to drag them onto movie make just like that. Same for the images/photos , they were just draged onto movie maker for the editing process.

I chose to not use many of our videos and replaced them with the images we took. there are some video's that we took from other sourcess and drained out the audio that came with it, adding our own audio. This was done by using this following website:

I Just had to put the URL of the Youtube video I wanted, then choose the format of data I wanted the video in and click download. TADA! I downloaded that video...

I added all the video's, audio and images onto windows Live movie maker and croped audio and video for suited areas, Changed volume levels of audio to be heard and positioned everthing in it's position using the script I made earlier. I sped up certain bit of the video to make it go faster and look cooler, like the beging; and I slowed down other bits to match it with the audio.

Once I had the video, images and Voice recordings lined up I saved the video for a computer as a '.wmv' file. Then I again added it to movie maker and dragged the music Jessica onto movie maker, positioning it to suit the video, and lowering the volume of the music slightly in some areas so we can hear the narration as well.

Again I saved the project as a '.wmv'  file and like that we had our video:

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and Girls...

We Present You "GEO-TAGGING"... :D

(having trouble uploading it)

The video is exactly 6:23 Minutes and about 83.4MB...

Hope You like it :D (Sir i was unable to put the video on my blog, but it should be in the stdent work section, of the school website... named 'Play this!!', Hope you find it...)

MY Script

Hy there guys, to make our video we need a guide line, to know what to say... soo here it is our scrip. Imade the script, and it's about 6minutes long...

I've uploaded the script so alllour you guys can see it :)

"

Script:
(Typing geo-tagging)
How many of you guys have heard the word Geo-tagging and don’t Know what it means???
Ok, well, then How many people use their phones to take picture and then immediately upload it to face book or twitter?
Have any of you thought that maybe by uploading these picture your endangering yourself and loved ones?
Well, these are things all of us should consider in today’s society, with our smart phones and social networking. These technologies may be great, making our lives ten times easier, but we have to realise that at the same time, these great things are endangering our lives ten times more.
So here we are four friends, who learnt from our experience.
Geo-tagging, a program that enables us to tag the location, time, altitude, bearing, distance and place name of the picture taken.
This is a great accomplishment to technology, with the tool of geo tagging we are able to come back to a certain picture and know the exact time and place the picture was taken at.
But that means ANYONE can come to that picture and know the exact time and place the picture was taken.
So if there’s a picture of you in front of some building, that’s been geo-tagged and you upload it to face book, to share it with your friends, you are putting yourself in danger.
There are two main options to geo tag a picture.
Firstly by capturing the GPS information at the time the photo is taken or by attaching the photo to a map after the photo was taken.
Geo tagging is when the GPS chip installed into the modern cameras, automatically notes the time and location the picture was taken at by connecting to satellites, the location noted with this method is usually accurate, with latitude and longitude coordinates.

We were hosting a party at this local hall.
Like any ordinary party we took pictures, but this time using my new IPhone to take the picture.
Little did we know that the images were automatically geo tagged, and we put them up onto our face book pages.
It’s amazing how much information someone can get from a geo tagged picture... and you guys would have heard of people called cyber stalkers, righty?
Well one of those, criminals in some ways, used the few images we took; and well, knew where exactly to find us.
Who know what would have happened to us if the police hadn’t been aware of this man.
So I guess what we’re trying to say is that taking a harmless picture then uploading it onto the internet can cause serious damage.

Well this is what we make our video with... keep reading to actualy see HOW we made our video :D
